Château Les Tourelles Cadillac - Côtes de Bordeaux

Purchased in 1938 by Jean Darriet, the 6th generation of winegrowers, this estate has always been used to produce white wines.

Total surface area of 10 hectares including 50% of Merlot/Cabernet Franc and 50% of Sauvignon Blanc/Semillon.

A single, steeply sloping terroir : limestone parent rock, plateau of fine clay gravel.

Age of the vineyard 40 years old. The grapes are harvested by hand in successive selections (up to 5 selections) in order to select only the best bunches, which are then pressed without been crushed. The juice is settled before being transferred to barrels, where the alcoholic fermentation takes place, with temperature control, until it comes to a natural stop. Slow, gradual alcoholic fermentation. The wine is then racked, muted and re-centred for ageing. The wine is aged in vats for around 12 months.

Golden colour. Intense nose of white fruit - apricots. Rich, intense attack on the palate with notes of jammy apricots. Very fine texture and smooth finish. Good length and aromatic intensity.
